Heat Flux Sensors
Slug Type Sensor - Low Range (LR)
The LR slug sensor is flat-faced, slug material is Copper, standard ranges are 50/300/1000 kW/m^2. Sensor can be coated with High-Temp Paint and instrumented with a single type K thermocouple.
Slug Type Sensor - High Range (HR)
The HR slug sensor is flat-faced, slug material is OHFC Copper, standard ranges are 2000 – 20000 kW/m^2. Sensor can be coated with High-Temp Paint and instrumented with a single type K thermocouple.
Slug Type Sensor - Time Dipendent Input (TDI)
The TDI slug sensor is flat-faced or contoured, slug material is Copper, range is on request. Sensor can be coated with High-Temp Paint and instrumented with more than one “K” thermocouple to detect time-dependent heat flux.
Slug Type Sensor - Optimized Time Response (OR)
The slug time response can be optimized for a given material, allowable front-face temperature rise and costant heating rate. Please specify these additional parameters and we will make for you a sensor with a maximum linear, temperature-time response.
Slug Type Sensor - Custom Designed (CD)
The slug sensor can be manufactured with different characteristics depending on the purpose for which it should be used (heat flux level to be measured, convective and/or radiative, time-dependent input, optimal time response and more….). Please give us your technical specification and we will make the sensor tailored to your application!
